With a packed programme of events ranging from music and dance to food festivals and art exhibitions, there’s no shortage of ways to celebrate the borough’s vibrant cultural scene. From large-scale dance productions to intimate artist showcases, here are the top 10 must-attend events:
1. Jazz in the Gardens – Every Friday
Wandsworth comes alive with a spectacular evening of music and dance at Battersea Arts Centre. Featuring live performances from emerging and established artists, this event highlights Wandsworth’s diverse cultural scene and provides a platform for local talent to shine. Expect genres ranging from contemporary dance to spoken word and live jazz.
2. Wandsworth Arts Fringe (WAF) – June 6–22
This supercharged edition of WAF is set to be the biggest yet, featuring over 30 funded projects that span theatre, dance, music, comedy, and cabaret. Performances will take place in parks, libraries, and community hubs across the borough, making art accessible to all residents. 3. Wandsworth Heritage Festival – June 13–July 13

4. Battersea Park in Concert – August 23–25
Battersea Park will host a three-day open-air concert series, featuring performances by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Jools Holland & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra. 5. Urban Flow – September 13
Roehampton will become the stage for an immersive dance and movement production, blending contemporary dance, martial arts, and live soundscapes. This ambitious project is a collaboration between India’s Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts and Wandsworth’s own Tavaziva Dance, promising a mesmerising visual and auditory experience.
6. Liberty Festival – September 26–28
The Liberty Festival is a showcase of the creativity and talent of D/deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent artists. The festival features workshops, performances, and interactive art installations, all aimed at challenging perceptions and pushing artistic boundaries.
7.Wandsworth Artists’ Open House – October 4–12
Visit the studios and homes of over 100 local artists, including painters, photographers, ceramicists, and sculptors. This event provides an intimate look into the creative processes of Wandsworth’s vibrant artistic community, with opportunities to purchase unique, locally-made art pieces.
8. Palace of Varieties – November 26

9. The Wandsworth Way – July 2025–March 2026
